Scholarships not managed by ENZ

These are outbound scholarship opportunities for students in New Zealand. For more information, please refer to the contact information for the individual scholarship, as these are not managed by Education New Zealand.

Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme – India

Two scholarships are available for New Zealand students to attend Indian higher education institutes (universities, colleges) for the academic year 2018-19.

Applicants must

  • Reach 18 years of age by July 2018
  • Be proficient in English
  • Stay in a student hostel for the duration of the study period
  • Submit a medical fitness certificate

This scholarship includes return economy class air-fares and a train fare to the place of study, if required.

Please note: The scholarship does not cover admission in medical/paramedical or fashion courses.

Applications will only be accepted online through the portal at a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in. The Portal has all relevant information for students, including names and details of all state and central universities and institutes, availability of academic courses, guidelines, eligibility criteria, and hostel information.

Applicants must also submit a physical copy of the online application to the High Commission of lndia, Wellington, along with copies of all mandatory documents.

Applicants are advised to exercise due diligence and research the specific admission criteria laid down by various universities for each subject, and ensure that they submit all relevant documentation required in addition to what is needed in the application form.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Scholarship - The University of Colombo, Sri Lanka

The University of Colombo, Sri Lanka is offering 10 scholarships for international students for the MBBS medical degree programme at the Faculty of Medicine.

The opportunity is being offered to foreign nationals wanting to pursue undergraduate training towards an MCCS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) medical degree in Sri Lanka, which is recognised internationally. The closing date for applications for the academic year 2018/2019 is 28 April 2018.
