New market insights to help shape growth in India, Indonesia and the Philippines
New research commissioned by Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao (ENZ) is helping the international education sector in New Zealand better understand shifting student demand, emerging opportunities and future growth pathways in India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Delivered by Acumen, the in-depth market reports provide insights into student decision-making and the factors shaping demand in three strategically important markets for New Zealand education.
The findings point to evolving opportunities for New Zealand tertiary education providers, alongside increased competition from other study destinations. Across all three markets, students are placing greater emphasis on employment outcomes, return on investment and clear career pathways when choosing where and what to study.
The research identifies opportunities for growth across the private training establishment (PTE), institute of technology and polytechnic (ITP), and university subsectors. It also highlights the importance of providers establishing a stronger profile and presence in priority markets, while clearly communicating the value and outcomes of a New Zealand education.
ENZ’s Group General Manager – International and Sector Engagement, Sahinde Pala, said over the coming months, ENZ will continue working with providers and sector partners to translate these insights into practical actions.
“We also see these insights informing future go-to-market activity. The objective is not only to understand what is changing in these markets, but to help the sector respond quickly and strategically to emerging demand in a coordinated way.”
