2026 International Student Experience Survey launches in April
ENZ will begin fieldwork for the 2026 International Student Experience Survey (ISES) next month.
Last year, more than 5,000 international students shared their experiences of studying in New Zealand.
Key highlights included:
• 87% rated their overall experience positively, with 43% rating it ‘excellent’
• 92% rated their experience of people and connections positively
These results reflect the strength of New Zealand’s international education offering and the collective effort across the sector to enhance the international student experience.
ISES remains the only national dataset covering all education subsectors and stages of study. Its interactive dashboards continue to be a valuable resource for education providers, supporting evidence based decision making and continuous improvement.
ENZ will be in touch with education sector peak bodies and providers shortly to confirm participation and discuss opportunities to increase institutional sample sizes, enabling deeper and more robust insights.
