ENZ Market Development Managers Adina Stoye and Olga Elli attended a Matariki celebration alongside around 10 ENZ partners at the New Zealand residence in Berlin.
The New Zealand Ambassador to Germany H.E Craig Hawke used the occasion to note the enduring and mature relationship between Germany and New Zealand, one based on a mutual respect for human rights and free trade.
About 120 guests in total came together to acknowledge the occasion, connect and enjoy a New Zealand-style BBQ.
ENZ Market Manager Naluri Bella participated in the first Matariki Celebration hosted by NZ Inc agencies in Indonesia.
Attendees ranged from business partners, government partners, education agents and students. The event was opened by the Indonesian Vice-Minister for Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, Mrs Angela Tanoesoedibjo.
The New Zealand Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E Kevin Burnett, highlighted in his speech that Matariki is a time to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future.
One of the reflections was on the New Zealand’s 66 years diplomatic relationship with Indonesia, noting how the New Zealand government has supported generations of Indonesian students to study in New Zealand and look forward to more people-to-people, cultural and education exchanges in the future.
On 25 June ENZ Education Manager Rosemary An joined our NZ Inc partners at the New Zealand Embassy in Beijing to host stakeholders for an event celebrating Matariki.
Participants to the event included key education partners from China Centre for People to People Exchange, China Education Association for International Exchange and Peking University.
In celebration of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, the New Zealand Embassy in Brazil hosted a roundtable discussion event at the New Zealand Consulate. With the support of ENZ, the event was an opportunity for organisations to present their work supporting LGBTQIA+ communities.
In a round table format, the meeting made it possible to exchange experiences and bring organisations closer to foreign delegations, who also presented their work in the field of human rights. From an international education perspective, ENZ Senior Market Development Manager Bruna Natale (pictured far left) spoke with NGO representatives about what countries need to offer to be considered ideal destinations for LGBTQIA+ students.
Team Thailand and Code Avengers hosted the ‘Study with New Zealand Code Camp’ on June 29 in Rayong with three schools.
Students were required to create websites showcasing activities international students can enjoy in Ōtautahi Christchurch. Students were provided the opportunity to practice some touch rugby to experience another parts of New Zealand culture. The camp was well attended by 30 students and seven teachers.
Following the camp, two New Zealand Coding Workshops were hosted on the 1st and 2nd July in Bangkok. These workshops were also well-attended, attracting 44 students, and five teachers. These events aimed to showcase how New Zealand education integrates digital technology into teaching and learning.
As a part of ongoing collaboration with Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Jugnu Roy, Director of Engagement – India and East Asia and Bhupinder Kaur, Market Development Manager for India had a productive meeting with Karnataka State Higher Education council and visited four Bengaluru Universities between 3 July and 4 July.
The visit was aimed at exploring opportunities for the next phase of our partnership between Aotearoa New Zealand and Karnataka State universities.
ENZ Market Manager Van Banh attended Thu Thach Kim Cuong, top teen magazine Hoa Hoc Tro’s annual competition for teenagers who are interested in journalism and communications careers.
Van (pictured far right) was invited to speak to candidates about key skills for individual and team success. She also spoke about studying with New Zealand, and how our education system can prepare learners for their future careers.
